Compass Correction.

Based in North Jutland, we make many corrections of Compasses off Frederikshavn after the vessels have been at the Orskov yard, or off Skaw - usually after or before transiting the Danish waters.

Our service includes as standard:

Control of soft iron (Flinders Bar and Spheres), where annealing is provided, if needed and time permits.

Control of the physical condition of the compass, including lubricating and refilling of liquid if air bubbles.

Control of time of vibration and friction. By too high values, or if it is desired, we can arrange service as well as new certificates, where time permits.

Swinging the compass and correcting for semicircle, quadrant and heeling deviation.

Preparation of deviations curve in formats A4/A5 portrait or landscape and printed and signed before we disembark the vessel.

Arrange of boat service if necessary.
